Barcelona 2011

First day in Barcelona, after walking the entire downtown to the harbour, i decided to check out one last point before the sun sets, one of the olympic hills that overlook the city, totally breadthtaking views from the top.

First day, totally fascinated by the architecture in Barcelona. Every single room has a balcony, thats how apartments should be everywhere else!

Along one of the alleys in the city center, once again proving the point about balcony.

The rustic spanish alley in a super modern city, unbelievable. Left me with a sore neck at the end of the road.

Somehow my camera didnt capture the misty effect coming from the sunlight, but damn it was magical.

Along one of the narrow side alleys

Finally out in the busy streets of Barcelona. As usual, beautiful architecture.

One of the many Churches in the city center. Cant remember the name but wasnt really anything special after  living in Germany for a while. They start to look the same after sometime, beautiful nevertheless.

Some of the small details, quite some effort for a street lamp but wow, cant imagine how they would look in the evening.

There were 2 more on the left, but they drove away before i could take a picture..

In front of their city hall i think. Look at those lamps again!

Along the infamous street La Rambla, lots of people lots of touts and the highest chance of getting your pocket picket. Beware!

awwww

Port Veil

Simply can put the atmosphere in words....

Yeah, thats the Eclipse, yacht of Roman Abramovich. oh have i already mentioned? Thats the biggest private yacht in the world.. yeah you didnt hear wrongly..

Kinda miniature now eh?

What a view!

Spotted some parots on my way to the habour. Such a pleasant find!

My personal favourite, reminds me a little of Grand Theft auto.

Habour overlooking the city

On the bridge to nowhere.. Moll de Ponent. Definitely worth the trip up.

Spanish Polizei!

Sun setting behind the olympic hills.. sight to behold..

Didnt take that many photos in the night since the quality wasnt too impressive.  Walked through the city center once again to find out how it looks like in the night.. very mystical, no longer flooded by tourists.

Second day, first destination, Casa mila i think. How cool is that!

Pretty early in the morning, the spanish dont wake up that early, or was it a holiday?

On top of the hill next to parkguell, another highpoint that offers a magnificent view of Barcelona.

Full of touts and tourists, if you are ever there, wait for the police to come look at how these touts run for their lives...

Uhuh, right out from the tourist book isnt it?

Park Guell, very unique, almost magical.

Piece by piece they glued the mosaic together to form this.. erm structure.. looks abit out of this world !

Another picture that came right out of a children fairytale book!

Kinda reminds me back home.

Oh yeah, the biggest attraction of them all

ANd the second biggest attraction!

Arc de Trionf, no thats no Paris

Palm trees, blue sky, 30 degrees, man i can sit here for the entire day!

Cant remember her name, but a French couple i met on the beach.

The beach! Seriously the best place in town. And the weather just made this 4 hours on the beach one of the most magical moment during my trip in Spain. No kidding. You have not been to Barcelona if you didnt make a trip to the beach, period.

2nd evening, during my quest for food. Simply too many choice, but it felt strange eating alone...

On my way back to the hostel, spotted this fountain in the middle of a super huge junction. Seriously have you seen anything unpleasant in Barcelona yet?

Attempt to capture some night life without a tripod. not too bad..

Church

More Church

Ok this bridge looked soooo much prettier than it is in my picture... spent about 15 mins thinking how i can frame the picture, but there were simple too many tourists strolling through and its almost non stop. So just took one and moved on.

This is acutally on the third day, in the Olympic city. No of tourist 1. Had the entire park to myself on this lovely day.

On top of another hill overlooking another part of Barcelona. This is one part i havent checked out yet, perhaps the next time round.

Sagrada Familie

So pretty that i had to go back again.

Nothing beats swimming in the mediterrenean on a 30 degrees sunny day.

A quick attempt on Automobil photography

I know what you're looking at!! ;)

Another beautiful day coming to an end, got a little windier that day

Palm Trees Plaza!

The best meal ever! TAPAS!

This plate of awesomeness for just 5 eurs... man that was sooo good

Non stop walking brought me to another habour in the night. This picture turned out surprisingly sharp!

Another insanely rich man in town.
